and others.

Laurie Boudreault (b. 1989, Quebec City) has spent over a decade in concept retail, fashion, graphic, and product design—experience that has deeply informed her art practice.
In recent years, she has turned her focus to painting, embracing a contemporary abstract figurative style infused with
minimalist expressionism, which serves as both an artistic outlet and a grounding practice for her overactive mind.
For Boudreault, color is not merely aesthetic but emotional terrain: intricate palettes, thickened by layers, combine deliberate, weighty brushstrokes with spontaneous, diluted ones—outcomes of an introspective process.
Her inspiration arises from subtle beauty found in the everyday—details in unassuming places, fleeting moments, and quiet sensations. A feeling, a conversation, a line in a magazine, a color palette, or the pattern of an orchid in National Geographic
may all find their way into her countless Midori notebooks and Notes App entries, forming the foundation of her work.
Now based in Tofino, Canada, where surfing is an integral part of her life, Boudreault continues to explore the intersections
of art and design.
A glimpse into my creative world; sketches here.
